Karen Larson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Karen began their career at Cowles Media Company, where they held various treasury, risk, real estate, and audit management positions from 1988 to 1994. Larson then moved on to Star Tribune, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Advertising, Marketing, and Niche Publications and Business Development from 1994 to 2008. Following that, Larson worked at MLS as an Independent Writer and Marketing Professional, focusing on writing projects and exploring the impact of social media on business. Larson's most recent role was at the Arthritis Foundation, where they served as the CEO/President of the Upper Midwest Region from 2010 to 2013 and as the Chief Financial Officer from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Larson is currently the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at YMCA of the North, a position they have held since 2016.
Karen Larson has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Karen also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
