Deana Labriola is a partner at Ward and Smith, P.A. in Raleigh, North Carolina. Deana has been with the firm since May 2008, and their practice encompasses a broad range of business matters, from drafting and negotiating corporate agreements and documents, to managing all aspects of corporate transactions for a variety of companies. This includes serving as outside general counsel to closely held companies inside and outside North Carolina. Ms. Labriola also serves at the Raleigh office’s Geographic Team Leader and head of the Firm's Technology Practice Group, where they represent a number of local technology and biotechnology companies in all of their corporate needs. Deana is an experienced transactional attorney, and routinely handles mergers and acquisitions, and other debt and equity financings from the seller, buyer, investor or borrower side.
Prior to joining Ward and Smith, Ms. Labriola was an attorney at Greenberg Traurig in Miami, Florida from April 2005 to April 2008. Before that, they were an attorney at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City from September 2001 to April 2005.
Ms. Labriola earned their J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2001 and their B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998.
Deana Labriola is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Deana also holds a B.A. in International Business from the University of Indianapolis.
