Kristen Aquino

Kristen Aquino, CFRE has a diverse work experience in the field of philanthropy and fundraising. Kristen began their career at The Nature Conservancy in 2007, where they served as a Philanthropy Associate and later as an Annual Fund and Event Specialist. In 2011, they were promoted to the role of Major Gifts Manager, where they were responsible for developing and managing fundraising strategies for a regional team. In 2012, Aquino joined Mission Health Systems, Inc as a Senior Major Gifts Officer. Over the years, they served in various roles within the organization, including Principal Gifts Officer and Event Program Manager. Aquino was responsible for leading major gift activities for the heart and vascular programs and serving as the primary philanthropy partner for clinical program and physician leaders. In 2016, they joined the YMCA of Western North Carolina as the VP of Financial Development. Throughout their career, Aquino has demonstrated expertise in major gifts, strategic planning, and team management.

Kristen Aquino, CFRE has a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Appalachian State University. Kristen also has a certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) obtained from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-Global).
