Timothy Williams has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Timothy started their career as an Assembler, working on contract for Spescom Data Voice. Timothy then moved on to XSInet, where they worked as a Technical Support Engineer, providing internet and broadband support to customers.

In 2006, Timothy joined Group NBT Ltd as an Online Support Specialist, answering customer queries and providing technical support. Timothy later took on the role of Technical Support Engineer, providing second-level support and managing server builds. Timothy eventually became a Linux System Administrator, taking on more senior responsibilities and contributing to corporate security policies.

In 2012, Timothy joined Qube Managed Services Limited, initially working as a Linux & VMware Engineer before becoming the Lead Systems Engineer. In this role, they looked after internal and managed clients' Linux/Unix systems, VMware and vCloud Director platforms, and worked on various improvement projects. Timothy also provided pre-sales support and contributed to technical interviews and assessments.

From 2017 to 2019, Timothy worked at Aware Corporation (Africa) as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on supporting and managing clients' AWS environments and implementing new solutions.

Since 2019, Timothy has been at Yoco, where they started as a TechOps Lead, responsible for ensuring stable and scalable systems. Timothy later became the Head of Cloud Engineering, leading the cloud engineering team, and is currently serving as the Associate Engineering Director - Cloud.

Timothy Williams completed their education at Netscope Training Campus in 2003, where they obtained a Mastering IT Course in Information Technology. Before attending Netscope Training Campus, they attended Fairburn College from 1998 to 2002, but the degree name and field of study are unknown. In addition to their formal education, Timothy has obtained several certifications from institutions such as Amazon Web Services, Red Hat, VMware, and CompTIA, covering a range of IT skills and specialties.
