Developer Advocate For The Zephyr Project at Yocto Project

Benjamin Cabé has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Benjamin started their career at Anyware Technologies as an Eclipse Expert from September 2006 to October 2009. Benjamin then moved to Sierra Wireless, where they held the roles of Technical & Open Source Expert from October 2009 to January 2011, and Open Source M2M Evangelist from January 2011 to February 2014.

In February 2014, they joined the Eclipse Foundation as an IoT Program Manager and Evangelist, where they focused on educating developers, architects, and CxOs about the benefits of open-source technologies for IoT. Benjamin also played a key role in creating value for the open-source community through industrial testbeds, hackathons, and other programs. Benjamin further contributed to the Eclipse Foundation by creating technical content, defining metrics for community growth, recruiting new members, and establishing himself as an industry thought leader through public speaking and blogging. Benjamin held this position until January 2019.

Afterward, Benjamin joined Microsoft in March 2019 as a Principal Program Manager in the Azure IoT Developer Community team. Benjamin led developer engagement initiatives, aiming to educate developers about IoT use cases and empowering them to utilize the best technologies available. Benjamin excelled at creating and delivering stories that resonated well with developers, non-technical individuals, and CxOs. Benjamin also contributed to the development and promotion of educational material through various Microsoft channels. Benjamin concluded their tenure at Microsoft in January 2023.

In February 2023, Benjamin Cabé started working at The Linux Foundation as a Developer Advocate for the Zephyr Project. Further information about this role, including the duration, is not provided.

Benjamin Cabé completed their education at the Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, where they pursued a Professional Master's degree in Computer Engineering. Benjamin attended the university from 2000 to 2006. Prior to that, Benjamin attended Lycée Bellevue Toulouse, where they earned their Baccalauréat degree in Science. Benjamin studied at Lycée Bellevue from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Benjamin has also obtained certifications such as Microsoft Global Hackathon 2021 and Content Publisher Gold from Microsoft in 2021.
