Takashi Otsuki

Takashi Otsuki is an Associate Professor at Yokohama National University since April 2022 and a Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) since April 2014, focusing on electric power industry and renewable energy data analysis. Otsuki also served as a Visiting Researcher at The University of Tokyo from July 2020 to June 2021, specializing in energy system analysis and techno-economic assessments of low-carbon energy technologies. Previously, Otsuki was a Researcher at the Asia-Pacific Energy Research Centre, leading energy modeling for long-term projections and coordinating APEC cooperation projects. Otsuki's career began with an internship at the IAEA in 2012, conducting assessments of electricity storage technologies. Otsuki holds a Doctor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering from The University of Tokyo, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering from Keio University.
