Sony Grandoit

Sony Grandoit is an experienced educator and administrator with a career spanning over two decades in the New York City educational system. Currently serving as School Principal at Yonkers Public Schools since August 2014, Sony Grandoit previously held the position of Assistant Principal at the same institution. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Principal Administration and Principal IA with the NYC Department of Education from July 1999 to August 2014, and Social Studies Teacher/Dean at Bushwick High School from November 1995 to June 1999. Sony Grandoit's academic qualifications include an Advance Certification in School Administration from Brooklyn College, a Master's degree in History and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Anthropology from Stony Brook University.
