Tanya Long

Tanya Long is the Director of Grants Development & Arts Education at Yonkers Public Schools. Tanya has been in this role since August 2017. Prior to that, they were a Doctoral Research Assistant at Texas State University from August 2013 to August 2017. Tanya has also been a Music/Performing Arts Teacher at the high school level in the Marlboro Central School District from September 2002 to June 2013.

Tanya Long's educational career includes a Doctor of Philosophy from Texas State University, a Principal/Superintendent Certification from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, a Master's Degree from New York University, and a Bachelor's Degree from New York University. Tanya also has an Associate's Degree from Rockland Community College. In addition, they are certified by the New York State Education Department in Music Teacher k-12, Childhood Education (Grade 1-6), School Building Leader, and School District Leader.

They work with Michael McDonald - Director, Mathematics Pk-12, Luis Rodriguez - Assistant Superintendent, Special Education & Pupil Support Services, and Tracey Wong - Director, Library Services. Their manager is Edwin M. Quezada, Superintendent of Schools.
