Alexander Balgobin

Alexander Balgobin has a diverse range of work experience. Alexander is currently an Enterprise Sales professional at YOOBIC, where they focus on the UK and Northern Europe market. Previously, they were a Member at Black Tech Sales Network, where they worked towards increasing the representation of black professionals in the technology industry. Alexander also gained experience as an Enterprise Account Executive at CreatorIQ, handling accounts in EMEA and Asia.

In addition, Alexander contributed to promoting inclusivity and diversity at mParticle, where they held the positions of ERG Lead and Sales Director EMEA. Alexander was a founding member of BLDR (Black Leaders Driving Results @ mParticle), establishing group bylaws and leading initiatives for inclusivity. Alexander also served as Vice President and Co-Founder of Synergy Today, an organization that focuses on volunteerism and partnerships to maximize impact.

Regarding their previous roles, Alexander was an Enterprise Account Executive at Zemanta, an advertising-technology company. Alexander worked in North America, specializing in programmatic native advertising. Alexander also served as a Customer Success Manager at Earnest Inc., a company that offers student loan refinancing, personal loans, and mortgages.

Alexander started their career in education, working as a 7th and 8th Grade English and Social Studies Teacher at Teach For America. Alexander also held the role of Program Coordinator for a non-profit organization during the summers. Additionally, they served as a Program Coordinator for the Malama Aina Field School at Malama Learning Center, coordinating field experiences for students to learn about Hawaiian culture and environmental sustainability.

Throughout their career, Alexander has demonstrated a passion for sales, diversity and inclusion, education, and community impact.

Alexander Balgobin completed their CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from Occidental College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Shoptalk Europe Retail Education Certificate from Shoptalk in June 2022.
