Sefy Kagarlitsky has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Sefy is currently serving as the Chief Scientist at YOOM since November 2022. Previously, they held the position of EVP R&D at Tetavi, a New Media and Technology company. As the VP R&D at YOOM, they contributed to the company's research and development efforts from February 2019 to November 2021. Sefy also served as the CTO at YOOM from October 2018 to February 2019. Prior to their tenure at YOOM, Sefy worked as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at YOOM from April 2017 to September 2018.
Before joining YOOM, Sefy worked as an Algorithm Team Leader at New Time Zone from August 2015 to March 2017. Prior to that, they served as an Algorithm Engineer and Team Leader at RTC-Vision Ltd. from February 2009 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for managing computer vision algorithm and software development, as well as developing image processing and computer vision algorithms.
Sefy also has experience working at IDF, where they held various roles including Software Architect from December 2007 to July 2008, Software Team Leader from June 2004 to November 2007, and Lead Software Engineer from August 2002 to May 2004. Sefy started their career at Motorola Communications Israel as a Software Engineer from August 2000 to August 2002. Throughout their career, Sefy has gained expertise in depth cameras, programming in languages such as Matlab, C++, and C#.
Sefy Kagarlitsky completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, studying from 1997 to 2002. Afterward, Sefy pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science, enrolling from 2004 to 2005. Continuing the focus on Computer Science, Sefy then attended Reichman University from 2005 to 2009 to obtain a second Master of Science (MSc) degree.
