Howard Jones

Howard Jones is a seasoned professional in archaeology, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Archaeology at York Archaeology since August 2019. In this role, Howard oversees the Archaeology Division of York Archaeological Trust, managing operations across offices in York, Sheffield, and Nottingham. Prior to this, Howard held the position of Regional Director at Trent & Peak Archaeology. Educationally, Howard holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Archaeology and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.Hons) in Archaeology, both from the University of Nottingham, where studies were completed between 1985 and 1988.
