Ara Karakashian

Ara Karakashian has extensive experience in education and science, currently serving as the Department Head of Science, Continuing Education Teacher, and Science and Computer Science Teacher at the York Catholic District School Board since July 2012. Previous roles include Technologist in Neuroscience and Mental Health at The Hospital for Sick Children, Math Teacher at Discovery Academy Canada, and Math and Science Teacher at Education Power Inc. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Biophysics from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Education from York University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Toronto. Additionally, Ara has experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Guelph and worked as an Inventory Control Assistant at Siemens Canada.
