Jane Ellen May has over 25 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Jane Ellen began their career as a Charge Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit at The Aroostook Medical Center in 1994. Jane Ellen then progressed to roles such as Clinical Coordinator, Senior Nurse Manager of Acute Care Services, and Senior Nurse Manager of Surgical Services. In 2006, they joined York Hospital as a Nurse Coordinator for Ambulatory Surgery and Special Procedures/Endoscopy. Jane Ellen later became the Leader of Surgical Patient Care and then the Lead for Care Access and Care Manager. In 2018, they joined VillageMD as the Vice President and General Manager. Jane's work experience highlights their expertise in nursing leadership and care management.

Jane Ellen May attended the University of Southern Maine from 2007 onwards, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Jane Ellen then pursued further education at the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics from 2013 to 2015, completing an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree. In addition to their education, they hold a certification in ACM from the American Case Management Association (ACMA).
