Visiting Research Fellow at York St John University

Catalina Quiroz-Niño is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in academia and cultural program coordination. Currently serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at York St John University since January 2010, Quiroz-Niño also holds the position of Coordinadora Programas de Formación, Facilitación e Investigación at Instituto de Asuntos Culturales, España (IACE) since April 1984. As Co-Founder and Co-Director of Empower Training and Development, CIC since June 2001, Quiroz-Niño has contributed significantly to community development. Additionally, from September 2016 to September 2019, Quiroz-Niño coordinated the Erasmus Project focused on Migrants and Refugees as Rebuilders for Initiatives of Change in the UK. Educationally, Quiroz-Niño earned a degree in Sociology and Political Sciences with a specialization in Social Psychology from Pontificia de Salamanca and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. Furthermore, a postgraduate qualification in Social Economy and Solidarity has been obtained from Centro Superior Interuniversitario de Enseñanza e Investigación, affiliated with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
