Commissioned as an Infantry Officer, Aidis Zunde has served in positions of increasing responsibility from Second Lieutenant to Colonel in assignments with the 82nd Airborne Division, the 75th Ranger Regiment, the US Army staff, and both Multi-National Force- Northwest (MNF-NW) and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Iraq, to include command of the 1-507 Parachute Infantry Regiment (US Army Airborne School).
Leaving the Army in 2007 after two-and-a half-decades and joining industry, he has continued to support the national security mission and the Warfighter. At Lockheed Martin, he was the director of a division providing intelligence analysis, training, and operations/intelligence integration across DoD and the Intelligence Community. Subsequently, at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), he was the director of a business unit which delivered training, simulations, systems engineering, and cybersecurity support across all of the Armed Forces, as well as other Government agencies. In his last assignment, he led the business development and growth efforts of the Defense and Federal Solutions group within HII.
Aidis Zunde is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and an Olmsted Scholar, earning his Master’s Degree in International Economics at the University of Warsaw, Poland. He resides on a horse farm in Hillsborough, North Carolina with his wife, Juliana.
