Principal Support Engineer at Yotascale

John Brand has a long and varied work experience, beginning with their role as Technical Support Manager at Netscape Communications in 1995. From there, they moved on to Selectica as a Senior Consulting Engineer in 1997, followed by VA Linux Systems as Manager of Custom Products Group and Manager of Web Development and Sales Systems in 1999. In 2002, they founded Cops Donuts and managed the day-to-day operations, including designing and implementing the network, mail and web servers, and POS system. In 2007, they joined iPass as an Engineer and assisted customers in installing and maintaining their RoamServers. In 2009, they became Escalation Manager at SugarSync, managing the support group in San Mateo and providing oversight for the 30 staff members of the India outsourcing firm. In 2014, they became Senior Technical Support Engineer at Bluescape.com, providing enterprise level support for both hardware and software issues. John then moved on to Qumu Corporation as Support Team Lead, integrating Qumu's video technology into the customer's environment. Finally, in 2018, they joined AnchorFree as Tier 3 Technical Support Engineer, providing technical support for partners and writing documentation for the company's new product. Currently, John is working as Principal Support Engineer at Yotascale, providing enterprise-level support to customers and troubleshooting Kubernetes and API issues.

John Brand attended California State University - East Bay and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
