Carlos Famadas

Carlos Famadas has extensive experience in finance and operations across various industries. Carlos is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Yottaa since February 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Finance at Lyndra from February 2018 to January 2019.

Carlos has a strong background in financial management and operations. From January 2014 to February 2018, they worked at WHOOP as the CFO and VP of Operations. During their tenure, they managed the company's finances, HR, and legal functions, while also driving operations in supply chain, distribution, and customer service. Carlos played a crucial role in guiding the company from concept development to commercial launch, and successfully raised Series A, B, and C funding rounds. Carlos also implemented Salesforce to monitor and drive the business pipeline and was responsible for investor communications, board presentations, KPIs, and financial metrics.

Before joining WHOOP, Carlos was the VP of Operations and Finance at Telcare, a healthcare startup targeting the diabetes population. Carlos was instrumental in building the company's contact center, distribution operations, and financial functions. Carlos also handled HR, governance, and compliance roles for a durable medical equipment subsidiary.

Additionally, Carlos has experience in project consulting, having worked as an Independent Project Consultant at Treacy Ventures. Carlos supervised teams and executed go-to-market strategies for various business and consumer service businesses. Carlos also worked as a Sr. Associate in the turnaround group at Allied Capital, where they collaborated with executives at portfolio companies to develop and implement turnaround plans.

Carlos started their career as a Sr. Financial Analyst at XLHealth and a Sr. Research Analyst at the Initiative for Competitive Inner City. Carlos has also held roles at Stonegate Partners and Gen3 Partners.

Carlos Famadas completed their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University in the years 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they attended Christopher Columbus High School from 1992 to 1995. Furthermore, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on General Management from Harvard Business School between 2001 and 2003.
