Husain Makiya

Husain Makiya is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in the fintech and technology sectors. As the Co-Founder and CEO of YOUGotaGift since January 2013, Makiya has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive digital platform for distributing gift cards in the Middle East. Additionally, as Co-Founder and Partner at HoneyBee Tech Ventures since April 2011, Makiya focuses on launching consumer-based internet ventures. Previously, Makiya co-founded and served as Director at Zawya, the leading business and finance portal in the region, from October 1999 to March 2011. Early career highlights include a role as Business Development Manager at Bechtel, where Makiya was involved in bidding for major oil and gas projects. Makiya holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London.
