Russell Redsell

Russell Redsell has extensive experience in the insurance and legal sectors. Russell started their career as an Associate at Minter Ellison in 2004 and then worked as a Senior Associate at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to 2017, they served as an Associate General Counsel at Bank of Queensland, where they were responsible for overseeing legal activities for four subsidiaries. In 2018, they worked in various roles as a General Counsel and Commercial Advisor. In 2020, they joined Youi Insurance as the Group General Counsel and later served as the Executive General Manager - Legal, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs until 2023. Currently, they hold a position as the Chief of Corporate Affairs & Governance at Youi Insurance. Additionally, in 2022, they became a Non-Executive Board Member at Insurance Reference Service Ltd, where they oversee the effectiveness of the organization.

Russell Redsell attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2017, where they studied Governance, Role of Directors and the Board. Russell also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Griffith University from 1993 to 2000.
