Janet Testerman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Janet started their career as the Owner/Executive Chef of Testerman Cooperative Catering, a successful full-service catering company in Knoxville. Janet then joined EW Scripps/KNS Media Group as the Executive Editor of skirt! Magazine and Knoxville Magazine, where they played a crucial role in promoting a unique voice for women. Janet later moved on to Scripps Networks Interactive Inc., where they served as the Manager of Corporate Communications, focusing on internal communications and employee engagement. Currently, they hold the position of CEO at Young-Williams Animal Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for animals in Knoxville and Knox County.
Janet Testerman completed their education from the year 1981 to 1987 at Webb School of Knoxville. Janet then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications/Public Relations from 1987 to 1991 at Southern Methodist University. Later, from 2015 to 2016, they attended American University and obtained a Master's Degree in Strategic Communication.
