Philipp Elsbrock began their work experience in 2010 as a Journalism trainee at the Henri-Nannen-Journalistenschule, sponsored by prominent German media organizations such as Der Spiegel, Gruner & Jahr, and Die Zeit. During their training, they received cross-media training in online, video, audio, and print journalism. Following this, they worked as a Journalist for G+J Wirtschaftsmedien, stern, and Spiegel Online as a freelance journalist and freelancer from July 2010 to December 2012.
In 2013, Elsbrock joined DER FEINSCHMECKER as the deputy head of the Wein&Küche department, a role they held until April 2018. From May 2018 to March 2023, Elsbrock served as the Chief Editor at Falstaff Deutschland GmbH.
Their most recent position is as the Head of Brand & Communications at VEGDOG, which they took up in April 2023.
Philipp Elsbrock pursued their education from 2003 to 2010 at the University of Düsseldorf, where they obtained a degree in Magister Artium. During their time there, they focused on the fields of study including Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft, Romanistik, and Philosophie. In 2006 and 2007, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca, where they completed two Erasmus exchange semesters. During their time at the Universidad de Salamanca, their academic focus was on Filología Románica y Comunicación Audiovisual.
