Steve Baker has a diverse work experience in the facilities and sustainability field. Steve started as an HVAC/R Service Tech at Glenile Electric Ltd. in 2004 before moving on to Glenile Services as an HVAC Service Tech in 2010. Steve then transitioned to RBC, where they worked as a Building Operator and eventually became a Building Operations Leader. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Facilities and Sustainability at YNCU, where they previously served as the Director of Facilities and Manager of Facilities.
Steve Baker completed their Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic degree at Mohawk College in 2009. In 2018, they obtained a Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) degree from BOMI Institute. Steve also received a COMPTIA A+ CERTIFICATION from Global Knowledge the same year. Additionally, they received the SMA Designation from BOMI Institute. Baker holds other certifications such as 313A- Refrigeration and Air conditioning System Mechanic from the Ontario College of Trades in 2009.
