Hector Chaira

Hector Chaira serves as the Director of Education Programs at the Latino Film Institute since February 2023, previously holding roles such as Program Manager. From August 2021 to August 2023, Hector worked with City Charter Schools as Director of the Strong Workforce Program and as Coordinator of the same program. Prior experience includes Interim Program Manager III at Volunteers of America Los Angeles, where management of emergency shelters and transitional living programs occurred for unhoused youth and specialized populations. Hector has also worked in various capacities at Woodcraft Rangers and the Youth Policy Institute, focusing on program management and community engagement.
