Elliot Rivera

Elliot Rivera is the current Executive Director at Youth In Action. Prior to this, Elliot worked as the Community Engagement Specialist & Program Director at the City of Worcester from August 2017 to November 2018. In this role, Elliot was responsible for overseeing all programmatic structures, staffing and objectives for the Division of Youth Opportunities, providing and developing research driven training and professional development opportunities for leadership, youth workers and youth within the division and throughout the community, coordinating group instruction to a team of seven (7) managers and group leaders who are implementing programming and educational services city wide, supporting all data collection & management, and facilitating its presentation for use in initiatives and community engagement. Elliot also oversaw the creation of curriculum for all programming, researched and presented evidence based solutions for use in city wide initiatives and policy making, facilitated community based approaches and solutions to youth centered issues, cultivated and maintained partnerships to implement activities and services for our programming, and worked with the Division Director in being the liaison between the city government and its citizens in terms of youth work, youth policy & interpretation and transparency of data and findings.

Elliot Rivera has a Master's degree in Public Policy from Tufts University, a Certificate of Non-Profit Management from Tufts University, a Bachelor of Science in Education, Psychology, Women's Studies, Sociology, Community Support, Research from Worcester State University, an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Quinsigamond Community College, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Quinsigamond Community College.
