Melissa Ehlinger

Melissa Ehlinger is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in external affairs, strategy, and business development. As Chief of External Affairs and Vice President at YouthForce NOLA since January 2016, Melissa plays a crucial role in preparing New Orleans public school students for high-wage, high-demand career pathways. Prior to this, Melissa served as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development and Interim President and CEO at the New Orleans Business Alliance, where strategic economic initiatives were driven. Earlier roles included Project Manager at the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, focusing on grant applications and real estate development, and attorney positions at the US Department of Transportation and the United States Office of Special Counsel, dealing with complex legal and investigative matters. Melissa holds a Doctor of Law from The George Washington University Law School and a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
