David McPeek

David McPeek is a seasoned software engineer with significant experience in high-impact roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer and tech lead at YouTube (Shorts) since April 2018, David previously co-founded Readup Technologies, a startup focused on enhancing early literacy in low-income communities, while also holding the position of CoFounder and CTO. At Yale University, David contributed as a researcher in the Social Robotics Lab, where advancements were made in robotic arm control precision, and served as a Computer Science Teaching Fellow, mentoring students in fundamental topics. Additionally, David engaged in bioinformatics research, developing statistical analysis tools that improved data accuracy, and has also provided web development support at Digital Surgeons. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Yale University.
