Omid Nikroo

Omid Nikroo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 2006, Omid worked as a Mortgage Underwriter at Madison Square Mortgages, where they processed mortgage applications and liaised with mortgage brokers and solicitors. In 2009, they worked as an Income Officer at Raven Housing Trust, managing client accounts and arrears.

From 2010 to 2013, Omid worked as an IT Contractor at Total Gas & Power Ltd, where they monitored and maintained servers and implemented server management software. At Maple Education, they served as an IT Manager & Executive Assistant in 2013.

Omid then transitioned into the field of home automation and smart home technology, working at Loxone UK from 2013 to 2018. Omid held the roles of Project Development & Training Manager and Key Accounts - Smart Home/Home Automation Expert, contributing to the development and training of smart home systems.

In 2017, Omid joined KOTN Ltd as a Consultant & Lead Developer, where they provided consultancy services and led development projects. Omid then worked at Generate UK as a Frontend Web Developer for a brief period in 2020.

In the same year, Omid worked at two companies concurrently. At Wysi, they served as a Web Application Developer, specializing in the development of bespoke web applications and single-page web applications. At SiteGurus, they held the role of Lead Developer.

Most recently, Omid joined YouView TV Limited in 2021 as a Cloud Services Platform Engineer, supporting the cloud platform infrastructure. Omid then transitioned to the role of Senior Cloud Platform Engineer in 2023.

Omid Nikroo's education history begins with their attendance at The Warwick School from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained their GCSE degree. Omid then went on to Reigate Sixth Form College from 2004 to 2006 and earned an Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education 12 Unit Award in Information Technology and Business Studies. Following this, Omid attended the University of Portsmouth from 2008 to 2009, where they completed a Foundation degree in Engineering and Technology. Continuing their studies at the University of Portsmouth, Omid obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Games Enterprise from 2009 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Cloud Practitioner qualifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2020.
