Paul Patterson

Paul Patterson has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Paul started their career as a Helpdesk Operator at Williams Lea Tag in 2014 and held various roles within the company, including Helpdesk Consultant and Application Support Analyst. In 2018, they joined wiGroup as a Software Developer and later became an Intermediate Front-End Developer. At wiGroup, they introduced innovative features to mobile apps and optimized content management systems. In 2020, Paul joined 1-grid as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the development of the 1-Grid mobile app and implemented version control and architectural oversight. Prior to their current role, they worked at Teya as a Mobile Frontend Engineer, leading a team in building a financial services wallet app and an API Marketplace. Currently, Paul is the Head of Mobile Engineering at Yoyo starting in 2023.

Paul Patterson attended Milnerton High School from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained their Matric degree. In 2012, they enrolled at Stellenbosch University to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance, but did not complete the program. Additionally, Paul has obtained various certifications, including "JavaScript Essential Training" from Lynda.com in 2017, "Building a Responsive Portfolio Site" in 2016, "WordPress DIY: Small Business Website" in 2016, and "Body Language for Leaders" in 2015.
