Carly Gelles

Carly is a senior, and she is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Passion Project. As CEO, Carly is responsible for the well-being of the entire organization, and she reports to the Board of Directors. Her priorities include international expansion and improved marketing, implementing further diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, increasing technological efficiency and effectiveness, and enhancing the sense of community within the organization. Carly has served as a YPP instructor in Public Speaking and Baking, YPP’s Director of Public Relations and Media, and YPP’s COO. An avid officer of her school’s Speech & Debate team, Carly was named the National Champion in the category of Oral Interpretation in 2021, and she has won many other prestigious regional tournaments. She is currently pursuing an independent study of American Sign Language and advocates for the Deaf community. Carly is an accomplished dancer in contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and pointe. In her free time, she bakes for cancer patients and enjoys learning new languages such as Mandarin, Spanish, and Latin.
