Director, Communications And Community Relations at YWCA Calgary

Carla Link has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Carla began their career in 1989 as a Supervisor at SFU Childcare Society, where they worked until 2003. After that, they served as the Marketing Manager at Sprott-Shaw Community College from 2003 to 2006, where they managed a team of five and supervised various responsibilities. From 2006 to 2011, Carla worked at Haworth as a Client Relations Supervisor, where they handled marketing and sales, as well as provided leadership to administrative staff. Carla then joined Discovery House in 2011 as the Director of Operations, overseeing various departments and working on marketing and communications strategies. Finally, Carla held different roles at YWCA Calgary, including Manager of Marketing & Communications from 2012 to 2019, and later as the Director of Communications and Community Relations. Throughout their career, Carla has displayed strong leadership, communication, and marketing skills.

Carla Link's education history includes obtaining an Early Childhood Education degree in Child Development from Capilano University in 1989. Carla also completed an Office Administration degree at British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2003. In 2005, they studied Marketing and Communications at British Columbia Institute of Technology. Carla later pursued a Project Management Basics and Negotiating program at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2007-2008. Carla furthered their education by completing a Leadership Development Extension Certificate at Mount Royal University from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they pursued Marketing and Marketing Management at Athabasca University starting from 2012.
