Marquita Butler

Marquita Butler, M.A., serves as the Girls and Youth Operations Director at YWCA Minneapolis and has held various leadership roles, including City Council Member (Mayor Pro Tem) for the City of Brooklyn Center since January 2017. Butler's experience encompasses community program direction at YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities and management of community partnerships at Harvest Network of Schools, where over 40 partnerships were developed. Previous roles include Corporate Affairs Contract Coordinator at Cargill and contributions to educational initiatives in Brooklyn Center School District. Butler holds a Master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Capella University.
