Zemfira Khisaeva

Zemfira Khisaeva has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies. Zemfira is currently a member of the CNBC Technology Executive Council, an exclusive council of technology executives from top-tier companies. Prior to that, Zemfira co-founded and served as the president of yWhales. Zemfira was also a board member of YPO. At Scotiabank, they held multiple roles, including Global Head of Technology and Enterprise Strategy, Vice President of Program and Enterprise Strategy, and Vice President of Strategy. Before joining Scotiabank, Zemfira worked as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising Fortune 500 companies on strategy and M&A. Zemfira started their career at BOMBARDIER as a Project Engineer and also worked as a Structural Design Engineer at MDA SPACE AND ROBOTICS LIMITED. Overall, Zemfira Khisaeva has a strong background in technology, strategy, and project management.

Zemfira Khisaeva attended Ufa Petroleum University from 1996 to 2003, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. From 2004 to 2006, they pursued a PhD in Composite Materials at McGill University. More recently, in 2018 and 2019, Zemfira participated in the Executive Program at Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business, sponsored by Scotiabank.
