Scott Risher has a diverse work experience in software engineering, with a focus on ETL and data warehouse development. Scott started their career at Whitney Bank as a Senior Programmer/Analyst for data warehouse development, where they conducted Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, analyzed and designed data warehouse fact tables and dimension tables, and utilized ERWin for STAR schema data model design. After 9 years at Whitney Bank, Scott joined TEKsystems as a Software Engineer, where they worked as a consultant at Cisco Systems. In this role, they were responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows and procedures for the Quality Information System (QIS) data warehouse. Scott also implemented parameterized Informatica workflows for parallel processing. Following their time at TEKsystems, Scott transitioned to Cisco Systems directly as a Software Engineer, specializing in ETL and Data Warehouse development. Leading as the primary ETL developer, they completed all phases of ETL development for the Bugs Dashboard (BDB) business intelligence application. Scott also implemented a database table/queue based workflow initialization process for automating Informatica workflow processing. Currently, Scott works as an independent contractor for Zaloni as a Senior ETL Developer, responsible for analyzing and modifying existing Informatica PowerCenter ETL applications. Their primary focus is on the evaluation and modification of Informatica mappings and workflows to target different database platforms.
