Peter Ortez is an experienced deep tech investor currently serving as a Board Observer at Found Energy and as a Principal at Munich Re Ventures since July 2019. With a focus on leveraging scientific and engineering breakthroughs, Peter Ortez invests in solutions for a more sustainable and efficient world, emphasizing areas such as space, aviation, and industrial decarbonization. Peter's prior roles include Board Director at Starfish Space and Board Observer positions at Zanskar Geothermal & Minerals, Inc., OKAPI:Orbits, and Orbit Fab. Peter Ortez began their career at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, where contributions included project management in strategy and M&A, and performed due diligence during internships at Enlightenment Capital and Data Collective. Peter's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School.
