Scott Korlann

Scott Korlann is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in energy storage and materials research. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and Principal Research Engineer at Zap Energy since July 2022, Scott has previously held leadership roles as Lead Engineer at MAGLauncher and Lead Engineer in Capacitors Engineering & Design at General Atomics. With a solid foundation in research, Scott boasts five years of experience in the fabrication and application of batteries and passive components. Scott's academic background includes a PhD in Physical Chemistry from UCLA, where research focused on conductive inorganic semiconducting nanostructured materials, as well as a BS in Chemistry from Western Washington University.
