Maxwel O'Brien

Maxwel O'Brien has a diverse work experience in engineering and construction. Maxwel started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at E-470 Public Highway Authority in 2018. Maxwel then worked as a Work Study Student at Colorado School of Mines. In 2018, they also designed and fabricated a device for the Denver Zoo Predator Ridge Exhibit as a Denver Zoo Predator Ridge Puzzle Box.

In 2019, Maxwel worked on an internal combustion engine project, where they replaced the head of an old engine with a plate of acrylic plastic. Maxwel also analyzed the effects of different fuels on flame propagation and performance.

In 2020, Maxwel joined Sure Steel, Inc. as a Quality Assurance Manager and later joined Western Industrial Contractors as a Design Draftsman, where they modeled and drafted designs for a Denver International Airport project.

In 2022, they became a Process Engineer I at SIGIT, and in 2023, they joined ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer.

Maxwel O'Brien attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2015 to 2020, where they pursued their undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Maxwel'sfield of study focused specifically on Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, in June 2019, Maxwel obtained a certification as an Engineer In Training from the NCEES institution.
