Skylar Truong has a diverse work experience in various industries. They started their career in 2015 as an Undergraduate Intern at Loctroi Group, where they worked closely with laboratory supervisors and chemical engineers to propose improved protein extraction methods and minimize manufacturing waste. They gained further experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UM Department of Chemical Engineering, focusing on sustainable energy and environment. In 2016, they interned at Greenlee Textron as a Quality Control Intern, followed by a Technology Intern position at HEINEKEN Vietnam in 2017. Skylar then joined Gopher Resource in 2019 as a Laboratory Analyst II, analyzing and testing samples. From 2021 to 2023, they served as a Safety and Risk Management Analyst at ioMosaic Corporation. Currently, they are working as a Relief Systems Engineer at ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc.
Skylar Truong obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, Skylar completed high school at Ben Lippen in an unspecified field of study, earning a high school diploma in 2014. Furthermore, Skylar obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the University of St. Thomas in April 2021.
