John Schmidt has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career as an Electrical Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in 1986. John then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Computer Science at the University of Utah from 1993 to 1995. Following that, they joined the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute at the University of Utah as a Research and Development Scientist from 1995 to 2020. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah from 1996 to 2020. John held the position of Associate Director at the Center of Excellence from 1996 to 1997. In 2020, they joined Zartico, where they have held various roles, including Chief Software Architect from 2020 to 2021, Chief Technology Officer from 2022 to present, and currently serves as the Chief Science and Strategic Officer.
