Jim Shearer

Jim Shearer has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jim started their career in 1985 as President of a corporation located in Western Kentucky, where they hired and trained 5 employees in telephone sales and service to brokers in 7 state area in individual and small group health insurance plans. Jim improved income in less than one and one half years from $2,000 per month to $16,000 per month and marketed Group Insurance Accounts throughout Western Kentucky. In 1989, they became President of Southern Brokers Insurance Center, Inc., where they were responsible for marketing and selling individual and group health insurance accounts and for complete servicing of individual and group health insurance accounts. In 1999, Shearer became an Account Executive of Connor Insurance Agency, Inc., where they were one of 7 Regional Vice Presidents for a 1.6 billion-dollar insurance company and personally managed a 150 million dollar block of vision insurance. From 1991 to 2002, Shearer was Vice President of Vision Service Plan. From 2002 to 2012, they were Vice President, Sales National Accounts Western Region at UnitedHealth Group. In 2012, they became President of BCS Group, LLC, where the goal was to work with large employers in offering unique benefit offerings. From 2016 to present, Shearer has held multiple roles at United Vision Plan, Zebit, and PFO Global. Jim is currently Vice President Sales at United Vision Plan, National Accounts Sales Consultant and National Accounts Business Development at Zebit, and Senior VP Managed Vision Care at PFO Global.

Jim Shearer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from Murray State University between 1980 and 1984.
