Alan Proudfoot

Alan joined Inside Pensions (now part of ZEDRA) in 2017 and provides secretariat and pensions manager support services on a range of matters to clients. This includes, for example, the preparation, drafting of minutes and follow up of actions for trustee meetings; the project management of various key deliverables, the drafting of member and scheme communications; and dealing with complex discretion cases.

Prior to joining Inside Pensions, Alan was employed by Capita Employee Benefits where he acted as Scheme Secretary and Pensions Consultant to several Trustee Boards of both defined benefit and defined contribution arrangements. Alan’s responsibilities included work in relation to the Annual Allowance, Lifetime Allowance and Pension Input Periods for high earners.

Alan started his career as a Pensions Administrator with an insurance company in 1982, spending five years calculating and processing members’ benefits. Since then, Alan has gained pensions experience covering scheme secretarial, pensions administration and consultancy roles, and is Associate of the Pensions Management Institute (APMI) qualified.
