Mark Cleary

Mark is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in the UK (ACIB), and is a CFA Charter holder.

Mark has 25 years’ experience working within the funds and asset management industries, predominantly in Jersey, as well as Luxembourg and Guernsey. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), holding their certificate in Company Direction and Mark also holds the Islamic Finance Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI). He also holds the International Diploma In Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association (ICA).

Mark started his career working in retail fund administration before assuming a variety of roles which covered fund management and governance, operational management, fund product development and risk management.

Prior to joining ZEDRA, Mark headed the risk function for a leading Investment Management provider. During this period, Mark was Chairman of the firm’s Risk and Compliance Committee and he also served on their Developed Markets Management Committee. Mark has also previously worked for Barclays in Jersey, heading their Fund Management business and he was likewise a Director of the Barclays Guernsey Funds Management business.
