Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Zen Internet

Daniel Tee has extensive work experience in various roles related to business intelligence and data analysis. Daniel started their career in 2007 as a Caretaker at Rochdale Borough Council, where they managed staff and ensured the security of the buildings. Daniel then worked as a Cleaning Supervisor at Aktrion Facilities Management, where they supervised a team of cleaners and maintained a high standard of cleanliness in a busy leisure center.

In 2013, Daniel transitioned to a Telesales Manager role at Convergys, where they exceeded sales targets and conducted training sessions for their team. Daniel then took up a role as a Cleaning Operative at Link4Life, before moving on to work as an MIS Analyst at Express Gifts Ltd. In this role, they developed and maintained self-service reports and created custom T-SQL scripts for key stakeholders.

Daniel's next position was as a BI Developer at Capita Customer Management, where they managed and maintained SQL servers, developed ETL processes, and created SSIS packages for reporting projects. Daniel then joined Rochdale Boroughwide Housing as a BI Developer, where they developed and maintained business MI and SQL databases, as well as created bespoke T-SQL code for SSRS reporting.

Currently, Daniel is working as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Zen Internet. In this role, they co-designed, developed, and deployed a data mart using the Kimball methodology and took ownership of the Power BI estate.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated strong SQL skills, proficiency in ETL processes, and expertise in working with BI tools such as Power BI and SSRS.

Daniel Tee has a diverse education history. Daniel attended Oulder Hill Community School from 1998 to 2003. Afterwards, they pursued Information Technology and Business studies at Hopwood Hall College Middelton from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, they obtained a BTEC National Diploma in IT Practitioners from Edexcellence Ltd. Following this, they attended the University of Hull from 2007 to 2009, where they studied BSc Computer Science. Additionally, Daniel obtained several certifications, including "Querying Microsoft SQL Server" from QA Ltd in July 2015, "Managing Safely" from IOSH in September 2012, and "Pass Plus" from DSA in September 2006, among others.
