Alex S.

Alex S. is a highly experienced professional in machine learning and technology, currently serving as a Machine Learning Engineer at ZenML since August 2021, where responsibilities include project management and development of platform features, including a LLM-based Slack support bot. With a diverse background, Alex co-founded the Spaced Repetition Foundation and First Draft Publishing Berlin, focusing on educational tools and supporting emerging authors, respectively. Alex also co-hosts the podcast Sources & Methods, exploring intriguing topics with guests. Previous roles include mitigation investigator for the ACLU and strategic advisor for SREO Consulting Ltd. Alex holds a PhD in War Studies from King's College London, in addition to degrees in Arabic and Persian, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
