Erik Coelingh currently serves as VP Product at Zenseact, leading the technical development of a software platform for active safety and autonomy in consumer vehicles since July 2020. Prior to this role, Erik was an Adjunct Professor of Mechatronics at Chalmers University of Technology from May 2010 to April 2022, where several research projects on advanced collision avoidance technologies were led. Erik also worked as Technology Advisor and Vice-President at Zenuity from April 2017 to July 2020, focusing on technology strategy and corporate development within the automotive sector. Erik's career at Volvo Car Corporation spanned from August 2000 to April 2017, where significant contributions included leading projects on self-driving vehicle technology, pedestrian detection, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Erik holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente and a Docent degree in Mechatronics from Chalmers University of Technology.
