Pieter Kemps

Pieter Kemps has held a variety of roles in the corporate world since 2010. Starting at Cisco Services in 2010, they were the Head of Managed Services for the AsiaPacific region. In 2011, they joined Amazon Web Services as the Head of Business Development & Venture Capital for AsiaPacific, where they helped VC firms create value in their portfolio companies, and supported Amazon's startup customers in seeking funding. In 2014, they joined Sequoia Capital as a Partner for Surge, and later held Principal roles at the same company. From 2016 to 2020, they held Board Director roles at Nugit, Funding Societies, 90 Seconds, HealthEngine, Insider., and Qoala.

Pieter Kemps obtained their MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, with a focus in Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship (Summa Cum Laude) from 2009 to 2011. Pieter also holds a Master of Science in International Business Studies from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, obtained between 1994 and 2000. Lastly, they have a Master's in Economia from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain.
