Arul Venkatesan

Arul Venkatesan has extensive experience in the field of design, with a focus on user experience (UX) and visual design. Arul is currently working as the UX Lead and Product Designer at ZeoAuto (YC W20) since 2022.

Prior to their current role, Arul worked at HTC Global Services as a UX Architect/Lead from September 2018 to January 2022. In this position, they designed UX and UI for web and mobile applications, performed accessibility analysis, conducted design evaluation and testing, and communicated designs to development teams.

Before joining HTC Global Services, Arul was a Senior UX/Visual Designer at GA Software Technologies Pvt, Ltd. from September 2014 to September 2018. Their responsibilities included multidisciplinary design, usability analysis, UI design, creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, motion graphics, video presentations, and eLearning courses for web applications. Arul led projects from a design perspective and took complete responsibility for the design of products.

From 2008 to 2014, Arul worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at Edutech, specializing in eLearning design for corporate, banking, and engineering clients. Arul utilized 3D/2D animations, motion graphics, and audio/video editing in SCORM-based eLearning courseware.

Arul's career began in 2004 as a Freelance Multimedia Designer, where they worked on various projects independently. Prior to that, they held positions as a Graphic Designer at NETed Learning Solutions Pvt LTd from 2006 to 2008 and as a Web Graphic Designer at IndiaDirect from 2006 to 2006.

Arul Venkatesan completed their education at Madurai Kamaraj University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Application in 2008. Prior to that, they attended CSI Polytechnic College and earned a Diploma in Information Technology in 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Arul Venkatesan has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Arul obtained certifications in conducting usability testing from The Interaction Design Foundation in April 2021 and in human-computer interaction (HCI) from the same institution in February 2021. In June 2020, they received a certification in Intelligent Enterprise User Experience with SAP Fiori 3 from SAP. In April 2020, Arul Venkatesan completed a certification course on "How to build habit-forming technology" from Udemy. Their earliest certification, earned in January 2018, is in Certified User Experience Designer from uxmint academy.
