Dave Stenson is a highly experienced automotive industry professional with a focus on electrification of vehicles. Dave founded Inventev in 2011, a venture that explores the electrification of medium-duty work trucks. Under their leadership, Inventev has secured patents in this domain and received grants for its innovative projects. In 2023, Stenson joined Zeus Electric Chassis, a startup that specializes in all-electric medium-duty trucks. As a member of the Board of Directors and functioning as CEO, they oversee the development of bespoke chassis-cab architecture and targets vocational fleet customers for tailored electric chassis products. Stenson also serves as an industry advisor for NanoGraf Corporation, providing valuable insights in the field. Previously, they worked as a product and business consultant for Optimal-EV, an electrified vehicle technology leader, and as the founder and president of New Motor Advisors, LLC, where they offered advisory services to automotive companies. In addition, Stenson held various executive roles at General Motors, including Chief Technical Officer for HUMMER, Executive Director of GM Performance Division, and Chief Engineer for GM de Mexico. Dave has a proven track record in leading product development, engineering, and strategic initiatives.
Dave Stenson completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an Electrical Engineering specialty at General Motors Institute from 1981 to 1986. Later, from 1988 to 1990, they pursued their Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
