Shahab Karimi

Shahab Karimi is an experienced professional in the field of mechanical engineering and autonomous driving, currently serving as a Software Algorithm Project Lead at ZF Group since May 2018. Previous roles at ZF Group include Software Algorithm Engineer and Technical Co-Op in Algorithm Engineering. Shahab's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Autonomous Driving from Clemson University, where Shahab also worked as a Ph.D. R&D Assistant from June 2016 to December 2018. Prior to this, Shahab earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology with a Mechanical Track from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran. Additionally, Shahab has experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Instructor at Western Carolina University, where responsibilities included running experiments to analyze the characteristics of materials.
