Xavier Turon

Xavier Turon serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Ziccum AB since October 2023, following a significant tenure at The Lubrizol Corporation where Turon held the position of Fermentation Manager from January 2016 to October 2023 and previously managed the Industrial Biotech Plant. With an academic background as an Assistant Professor at IQS Barcelona and a Visiting Professor at the University of Sassari, Turon specializes in bioprocess engineering and fermentation technologies. Research experience includes a postdoctoral role at North Carolina State University focusing on enzymatic cellulose hydrolysis. Turon's education comprises a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a postdoctoral degree in Biomaterials Engineering, along with an MBA in Business Administration.
