Chanuka Perera has extensive experience in credit risk management and analysis. They started their career as a Junior Analyst at Communications Design & Management Pty Limited in 2011. They then worked as a Corporate and Retail Analyst at Profectus Group from 2014 to 2015.
In 2015, Chanuka joined Telstra as a Credit Strategy and Reporting Analyst, where they focused on designing and implementing predelinquency and collections strategies. They also provided analytics modeling for debt recovery.

In 2020, Chanuka joined Klarna as the Head of Credit - Global Subscriptions and Direct Payments Underwriting. They created new credit and business strategies for expanding Klarna in the micropayment industry. They also launched Klarna's first subscription products in the UK and US while expanding subscriptions in the EU.
Currently, Chanuka is working at Zilch as the Head of Credit Risk. They have found and manage the Credit Risk department, defining risk appetite, regulatory reporting, and policy guidance. They have also developed new credit strategies and policies to optimize for growth and reduce credit losses. Additionally, they create strategies and guidelines for new products and business opportunities.

Chanuka Perera completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Finance degree specializing in Capital Markets from The Australian National University, which was completed from 2010 to 2014. Their education also includes a period of study at Narrabundah College from 2008 to 2009, although the specific degree or field of study is not provided.
